Bracelets are made with vintage buttons, typewriter keys and various game pieces, such as Scrabble pieces.

Among the earliest button collectors were young girls of the late 1880's, who sought buttons for charm strings. Of course, they collected with a very specific motivation. The goal was a thousand buttons on a string, and there are several explanations of this magic number. One has it that when the string was completed , Prince Charming would come to claim the girl for his bride. Few completed charm strings have been found.

Bracelets were a key Art Deco accessory, and the wearer usually flaunted them - 3 or 4 on each arm
