Button Bracelets
Among the earliest button collectors were young girls of the late
1880's who sought buttons for charm strings. They collected with a
very specific motivation. The goal was a thousand buttons on a
string and there are several explanations of this magic number.
One has it that when the string was completed, Prince Charming would come to claim the girl for his bride. Few completed strings have been found. This is the origin of the charm bracelet.
In the Art Deco era, bracelets were a key accessory. The wearer usually flaunted them with three or four on each arm.
My Bracelets are designed and created with mother of pearl, vegetable ivory, glass, celluloid, brass and metal. Each is unique and one of a kind. View the description of the buttons next to each bracelet.

Vintage Pearl, Brass, Navy Anchor Button Bracelet
This bracelet is designed and created with small Navy Bakelite anchor buttons and authentic uniform buttons.
In addition, carved mother of pearl buttons are stacked with small elaborately designed antique brass buttons. There are 13 buttons total ranging in size from 8mm to 20mm.

Vintage Button and Weiss Rhinestone Star Bracelet
This bracelet is designed with vintage buttons and a rhinestone earring. The black buttons have different geometrical shapes.
The center ornament is a large carved wafer button decorated with a Weiss rhinestone star clip-on earring.
The bracelet is adjustable in length from 6 1/2" to 7 3/8"
Vintage 12K Watchband Sailboat Button Bracelet
This bracelet is designed and created with a vintage ladies watchband. The band is a Lustern 12 K gold filled chain style. The center ornament is a fancy cut red vintage sailboat button stacked on a gray mother of pearl button. The sailboat measures 1" in diameter and the mother of pearl measures 1 1/2".
The total length of the bracelet is 7 1/2". In keeping with the vintage style and age, the ladies watchband shows wear and there is a very small chip on the mother of pearl button.
This bracelet is a great addition to a summer outfit whether on a cruise or a boat party.

Vintage 10K Watchband and 1930's Button Bracelet
This bracelet is designed and created with vintage ladies stretch watchband and a beautiful 1930's celluloid button. The button has a black metal base with a square caramel and black speckled center. The button measures 1 1/2" in diameter.
The watchband reads Mark III, 1/20 10K GF. Made in the USA. The vintage band is expandable and measures 8" in length.
The 1930's button is beautiful and a great conversation piece. It
may have been worn on a beautiful wool coat in the 1930's.

This bracelet is designed and created with an interesting vintage watchband and a beautiful aqua and amber colored glass button. The colored glass button is centered on a grey mother of pearl button measuring 1 1/4".
The watchband is a Gemex 1/20 12K GF, made in the USA.

This bracelet has been designed and created with mixed vintage materials. The center button is a 1930's large celluloid wafer button 1 7/8" in diameter.
It is topped with a wonderful vintage 1950's glass eyed fish pin. The watchband is a vintage 12 K Gold Filled link bracelet with a fold over clasp.

This bracelet was designed and created with vintage mixed materials. The vintage watchband is stretch silver link with etched designs. The centerpiece is a large gray mother of pearl button, 1 5/8" in diameter. It is topped with a beautiful purple and clear rhinestone button from Spain.
The combination of the gray pearl and the shine of the glass button creates a lovely bracelet.

The bracelet is designed and created using a 12 K gold filled vintage ladies stretch watchband. The centerpiece is a large black resin button with a ruffle design. Two 1960's faux pearl and gold clip on earrings decorate the centerpiece. The placement of the two earrings creates a abstract face, two pearl eyes and large curved eyebrows.

Vintage Glass Amber Green Brown Spanish Button Bracelet
This bracelet is designed and created with classic fall colors, shades of green, brown and beige. The centerpiece is a cut out forest green button topped with a beautiful amber and green glass button made in Spain.

Vintage White Gray Pearl Buttons with Silver Flowers Bracelet
This bracelet is designed and created with white and gray pearl buttons and accented with silver and peach flowers. The centerpiece is a large gray mother of pearl button stacked with a white square mother of pearl button and topped with a peach colored resin rose.
The two side pieces are silver flowers removed from a vintage sterling pin. The 4 other buttons had a brass shank and are vintage in color and style.

This bracelet is designed and created with a large MOP grey button decorated with a Art Deco lady with long flowing curls. The button measures 1 5/8" in diameter. The center decoration is attached to a new vintage woven black and silver band.

Vintage Black & Blue Glass Button Bracelet
This bracelet is designed and created with a large molded celluloid button and a blue glass button made in Spain. The centerpiece measures 2" in diameter. The Spanish glass button has two shades of blue and a small black glass stone in the center. The band is a new vintage watchband measuring 3/4" wide.
The total length of the band with the center button is 9". The band works like a belt, it has a loop that secures the band at the desired length. Therefore you can wear this bracelet close to your wrist or more like a bangle.

This bracelet is designed and created with two vintage clip on earrings and a vintage watchband. The two clip on earrings are attached to brass buttons, they are a combination of small pearls, glass and brass beads. Each earring measures 1" in diameter. The band is a vintage stretch watchband with very small rhinestones on each link.
The bracelet measures 9" in length. It is large and can be worn in a bangle bracelet style.

The watchband measures 8 1/2" in total length. The watchband works like a belt, there is a loop that allows the two pieces of the band to be adjusted to fit tightly or loosely.
