Each Pin has been designed and created with two silver plate spoon or fork handles; some ornate and some classically simple.
Every Pin is embellished with a vintage ornament. The ornament may
be a beautiful vintage button or a classic typewriter key.
Many of the centerpieces are from the Art Deco era - shoe and dress buckles, rhinestones, screw back earrings.
This collage pin is designed with a red, white and blue color pattern and a variety of materials - glass, metal, plastic and pearl.
The blue buttons are molded glass with geometric rims and faceted centers. The metal sailboat button may have been used on a coat from a sailor's shirt or jacket. All the buttons are uncommon. The red and white sailboat buttons most likely came off a 1950's sweater. The pearl and brass pin in the background make a reflection symbolizing the shine of the ocean.
Combining all the pieces together, the pin represents a nautical
treasure.
