Dignified Lady

I am a dignified vintage button lady. Most of my body parts are old and they demand respect. One of my hands is a Scovill military button and the other is a brass filigree button.  

My body decoration is a metal and brass button from the 1920's .  

While my legs are watch fob chains and my foot is a tuxedo button, I am most proud of my mother of pearl bowtie. It has survived the test of time.  

I am 5 1/4" tall.

Patriotic Girl  

I am a loyal and patriotic girl. My head and face came from an old watch, while my body came off a wooden chest.

I have soldiers arms and watch fob chain legs. My elegant shoes are pearl shirt studs and they match my pearl bow tie button. The U.S. military insignia is my body armor.

I am 4 1/4" tall.

Fashionista 

I am an elegant and refined Fashionista. My body is a uniformly carved pearl buckle with a silver filigree decoration. Delicately carved mother of pearl buttons make up my head and eyes.

The bowtie is created from ornate upholstery tacks used on an old chair. My legs are tie clips and my hands are turquoise bead buttons.

All together I make quite a regal fashion statement.

I am 5 1/4" tall.

Mischievous Lady

I am playful, with mischievous moods to match all of my colors. Just when you think the purity of my white is the real me, my darker colors take over.

Wear me on your lapel and keep everyone guessing as you are taken over by my impishness.

Diva

I am the Diva. My legs are men's garters for a start. And of course I am bejeweled. My elegant emerald hands in the past were lovely earrings.

My head is filled with beads and baubles and I can find a gem anywhere. My body ornamentation consists of two cloth studded buttons that came from an evening dress.

When I'm not myself - Who is being me?

I am 4" tall.

Vintage Lady

I am the Lady of Antiquities. My head is a brass curtain rod holder and my nose, even though a little crooked, has stood up to the test of time. My jet black eyes show that by combining different ages and materials we can see the future.

My hands are lovely Victorian filigree brass buttons known as "diminutives". My legs are taken from old electric light meters. My tummy is adorned with a brass button with pearl center; a show of luxury among the basics.

I am 4" tall.

Organized Lady

I am in the practice of joining body, mind and spirit, so I am laborious and wishful. Everything has a measured place in my life. As you can tell I am into measuring and folding.

My body is a wooden folding ruler and my arms are brass hinges. And my legs are the gears that made an old electric light meter run. But my brain is square and my ideas are round.

I am trying to put a round button into a square head. In addition I am trying to put a pearl button into a square brass button; it is putting a hard material into a harder material.

I am 4 1/4" tall.

"51" Gambler

I am the gambler. My body is a wooden domino, and my legs are dice. However one can not gamble without money so my hands are coins.

My hat is a pawn, as I am regularly playing chess with life. But my eyes are bright and I can see clearly. As we all know life is a gamble.

I am 5 1/4" tall.

Designer

I am the architect and designer. Keys are my legs and are always ready to unlock any doors or drawers.

My body is a folding ruler with a number 11. Is this the number of designs I've done or is this a house address?

My tie is ornate cut steel faceted buttons. They are very geometric in design as is my head. Design is my main purpose in life.

I am 3 3/4" tall.

Intelligent Lady

My body is made from Mah Jong tiles; translated as the game of a hundred intelligences. In the game "W" signifies the West. So East meets West and I can feel the breezes coming.

My face shows enjoyment, my feet are coins dancing in the wind.

I am 4 1/2" tall.

Vintage Brass Lady

I am saving a moment in time. As suave, sophisticated and chic as many antiquated things are, many are just simple and basic.

My brass legs are a part of a curtain hanger and my head is a slide for a curtain; neither used today. My hands are lovely vintage brass buttons.

I am 3" tall.

Elegant Lady

I was born with solid brass components, proving that elegance and functionality co-exist quite magnificently.

My arms are finials with a classic design and my legs are a vest chain. But the prize is my head, a beautifully created brass button circa 1920.

I am 5" tall.

Versatile Lady

Bamboo is very versatile and so am I. It is used for housing, food, kitchen tools, dinnerware and even paper.

I stand tall on bamboo button legs. And my bamboo body tiles play an integral part in the game of Mah Jong. So I add two additional uses for bamboo; walking and game playing.

I am 5 1/2" tall.

"41" Risk Taker

I am forty one and my lucky number has always been 13. And because I love to take a risk, I wear my heart on my sleeve.

My brass finial is always protecting my head and my ivory counter legs are always keeping track of my lucky wins.

Naturalist

Nature's soft colors blend together in complete harmony. I am the Naturalist. Browns, blues, black and white, they are the colors of my life.

My silver and cafe' au lait background makes a friend of any lapel.

Ornamental Lady

I have wonderful native ancestry. In fact my body ornament is signed with the Indian Tribal Arts symbol. I am eminently worthy of chiefs, gods and of course discerning individuals like yourself.

My hands and eyes are black jet buttons of different textures, just like my heritage.

Scheming Lady

The "X" man is still alive. For many years I have been a pawn, in fact I have grown pawn arms in response to my stooge personality.

And the gears in my head are constantly thinking of a new scheme. Yet the sun still shines everyday.

The Celestial Dreamer

I am the spirit of the sky. I chase the clouds away with my sunny personality. My sturdy domino body can celebrate my 61st birthday or that I was born in 1961.

My legs show that I am a celestial dreamer. But one star always shines brighter than the rest; the rhinestone button.

Romantic Lady

I am the reader of romance novels. I can picture the love, passion and desire in characters. My head is a lovely brass sea shell button. In my mind I see a love affair at the sea side, exquisite in its details.

My filigree buckle body reveals a story of charm and seduction. My legs and arms flow freely as does my imagination. The enchantment of days gone by.

I am 4 1/4" tall.

Beach Lover

My life is like a stroll on the beach, as near to the edge as I can go. My body is a mother of pearl buckle and my head is an intricately carved mother of pearl button.

The colors and sparkle of the sea are shown in my arms and legs. I can stand on the shore and gaze at the sea forever.

I am 2 1/2" tall.

Patriotic Lady

I am blowing the trumpet for the red, white and blue honoring heroes and showing pride in my country. My mother of pearl button body is decorated with a military ribbon.

My personality is a reflection of the times; one arm has a round glass bead and one has a rectangular glass bead. The beads are in contrast like my personality and many faceted like my arms.

I am 3 1/4" tall.

The Gardener

I am on a garden adventure. The green lady bug is my traveling companion. My head, once a clip on earring, is dancing in the sunlight with shades of green.

My legs are a bit rubbery, but are dressed with marvelous white petal blossoms. My arms are green glass buttons, one hand is a heart showing my love of gardening.

Green and pearl colors show the magnificence of a garden.

I am 3 3/4" tall.

Irish Lady

My heart is where my Irish heritage lives. As you can see a lucky 4 leaf clover covers my heart. My domino body is sometimes 3 and sometimes 30.

My head is an abstract design Bakelite button of a 4 leaf clover, so I must be the luckiest girl ever. My legs are glass shaped hearts with green threads running through them.

My love of Ireland and the color green show all over my body.

Glamour Girl

I am dressed for the ball - glitz, glamour and glitter. My floor length dress sparkles and shines as I dance through the evening.

My bright blue eyes shine and sit upon two small mother of pearl buckles. I love an evening in which I can wear a beautiful dress and dance the night away.

I am 3 1/4" tall.

Courageous Warrior

I am the courageous warrior about to be crowned. My body is a brass colored Maltese cross.

Each of its 8 points display courage, loyalty, piety, generosity, bravery, glory and honor, contempt of death, helpfulness towards the poor and sick and respect for the church. My colors of black and red display my royalty.

I will always be a honorable and loyal subject.

The Sea Lover

I love the sea and everything nautical especially the Navy. My body is a grey mother of pearl button decorated with a pewter model of the USS Constitution.

My legs are anchor charms which strongly support me. The red, white and blue are colors that I will always view with pride and admiration.

I am 2 3/4" tall.

The Pink Lady

I am the girl who just wants to have fun. Pink is my favorite color. My mother of pearl button body is decorated with a porcelain shard.

My arms and hands move freely - my hands are vintage tuxedo buttons. I can picture in my mind dancing in my lovely dress with a gentleman in a tuxedo. My legs, pink glass, are from a 1930's bead collar.

I am the ultimate in femininity.

I am 3 1/2" tall.

Pretty Purple Girl

As I grow older I will wear more purple. It evokes thoughts of bright lights, good times and a sense of self esteem.

My head is a fun combination of sparkly purple stones and a clear one. I continue to be clear headed. My body is a lovely mother of pearl design providing with a sturdy backbone. And my purple glass button arms show that wearing purple is the best.

My legs are pieces of a rhinestone necklace proving that I can still dance the night away under the bright lights in a lovely pink china shard dress.

The Player

I am the lover of games and challenges with my celluloid domino body, my Mah Jong tile legs and my quest to win.

I could have been born in 1962 or may be 62 years old but my pursuit is the same. I strive to be the best. My red button head and my red chest ornament display my passion for winning.

Victorian Lady of Love

Love all begins with the heart. And I have two bright red hearts decorating two intricately carved mother of pearl buttons. Love and elegance go together.

My scarf is pearl beads made from a broken string. A classic for every Victorian lady. My body is a pearl buckle.

My hands and head are beautifully crafted brass buttons. And my legs are deep red glass beads, able to move freely allowing me to chase after my loved one.
